The Nightmare before Chirstmas

1. Even though the movie isn't directed by Tim Burton, should it still be called a Tim Burton movie? On the one hand, it was his original story idea and has some of the same elements as other Burton movies, but on the other hand, his involvement in the day-to-day decisions and work was limited if not in fact nonexistent

Yes I think it should still be called a Tim Berton movie because eventhough he did not direct the movie it was Tim Bertons idea. Also I think the reason they put Tim Berton's name in the title is not because it is his movie but it own catagory and I think that, that is how some people view it.

Obsessed or Committed?

6. Is Borden and Angier obsessed or committed?

I think Borden is both obsessed and committed. I also would have to think about which "part" of Borden is obsessed or committed. The first part of Borden with Sarah is committed to providing for his family. the second part of Borden with Olivia is obsessed with trying to beat Angier at being the better magician. If you compare Angier to Borden's first part, Angier is absessed were Borden's first part is committed. Compare Angier to Borden's second part both are obsessed. But if you think to the begining of the movie I think that Angier and the second part of Borden began committed and thier commitment turned into obsession.
